Question: When does registration open?
Answer: Peabody Little League offers multiple programs through the Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. Each program has its own registration window.
Majors Spring: September 1st
Minors (Tee Ball thru AAA) Spring: November 1st
Summer League: mid June
Fall Ball: mid August
WInter Clinics: approximately 3 weeks prior to the start of each clinic session
Question: How do I register my player?
Answer: Registration can be found at www.PeabodyLittleLeague.org. A parent/guardian will first need to create the family’s primary account and then add their player(s) within the primary account. Once a player’s demographics are entered, all eligible programs will automatically populate within the portal.

Question: How do I become a coach or volunteer with Peabody Little League?
Answer: As a 100% volunteer driven organization, Peabody Little League eagerly welcomes help from our members. Some of the volunteer opportunities within the league include coaching, concessions, level coordinators and league officials. Volunteer opportunities can be found within your primary account under the “Volunteer” menu, which can be found on the left side of your account landing page.
To ensure the safety of our players, coaches and fans, in conjunction with Little League International and the State of Massachusetts, Peabody Little League requires that all volunteers;
Question: What are the divisions of play?
Answer: Peabody Little League offers 5 divisions of play;
Tee Ball: instructional introduction to baseball for 4-5YOs and 6YOs playing for the first time
A Ball/Coach Pitch: instructional division for 6YOs that have previously played tee ball and 7YOs playing for the first time
AA: developmental division for 7-8YOs. AA is the first division where players are pitching the entire game.
AAA: developmental division for 9-11YOs. AAA is the first division where players participate in 2 days of evaluations and teams are formed using a Player Draft.
Majors: developmentally appropriate competitive division for 10-12YOs. Majors is the first division where players must attend tryouts to be eligible for the Player Draft and division play. Players must attend at least 50% of the tryouts to be eligible for the Majors division. All eligible 12YOs will be drafted to a team roster. Any open roster spots will be filled by drafting eligible 10-11YOs. Any 10-11YO that attended Majors tryouts, but were not drafted to a roster will automatically be transferred to the AAA division
Question: How do I know which division to register my player qualifies for?
Answer: Little League uses August 31st to determine a player’s “League Age” for that respective playing year. Peabody Little League’s portal will automatically populate the programs a player is eligible to participate in. To help determine your players “League Age,” please refer to the Little League Age Chart.
Depending on playing history, 6YO and 7YO players may have 2 options for playing divisions;
6YOs playing for the first time should register for Tee Ball
6YOs that have previously played Tee Ball should register for A Ball/Coach Pitch
7YOs playing for the first time should register for A Ball/Coach Pitch
7YOs that have previously played baseball should register for AA
Question: When is the Little League season?
Answer: Peabody Little League offers 3 different playing seasons;
The Spring Season, depending on the weather and when the city officially opens the fields, run from early April to mid June
The Summer Season is played mid July to late August
Fall Ball is played early September to late October
Question: What equipment is required for the players?
Answer: Players must have their own glove, cleats, baseball pants and helmet. Players may purchase their own bat, but it is not required. Peabody Little League will supply balls, hats and game jerseys. Bats must meet USA Bats certification; please refer to the Equipment Guidelines handout.
Question: Is there financial aid?
Answer: Peabody Little League strongly believes that financial constraints should never preclude a player from playing baseball and have multiple ways to help ensure that baseball is accessible to all, regardless of finances.
Peabody Little League’s portal has a $300 Family Max Cap for the Spring and Fall seasons. Regardless of the number of registered players from a household, a family will not pay more than $300 in registration fees.
Peabody Little League partners with T-Mobile to reduce or eliminate registration fees
